What SilphCo tracks — marketplaces, graders, games, and freshness

Last updated:

SilphCo blends on-chain and off-chain sales into one clean dataset — the raw material behind the SilphCo Price, momentum signals, graded gem rates, and set- and card-level volume analytics. On-chain sales are the primary source when they are fresh; off-chain comps from the paper market fill the gaps when on-chain history is stale or missing.

On-Chain MarketplacesLink copied!

Sales from these marketplaces are recorded on-chain and cryptographically verified — the transaction hash proves each sale happened at the stated price:

  • Courtyard (Polygon)
  • Magic Eden (Solana)
  • Collector Crypt
  • Phygitals
  • Beezie

Off-Chain MarketplacesLink copied!

Off-chain sources capture the traditional paper market — completed sales that never touch a blockchain:

  • eBay
  • TCGPlayer
  • Cardmarket
  • PokemonPriceTracker

Graders & PopulationsLink copied!

SilphCo tracks grading populations for the three major grading companies — PSA, CGC, and BGS. Population data powers the platform's graded gem rates and cross-grade inference, as described in the pricing methodology.

GamesLink copied!

The Pokémon TCG is the platform's primary coverage. The One Piece TCG is also tracked — pass ?game=onepiece on API requests to query One Piece sets, cards, and sales.

FreshnessLink copied!

Ingestion runs continuously across every tracked marketplace. Live per-marketplace freshness is published on the Status page — check there for the current state of each source rather than relying on static intervals. To see how fresh sales become the SilphCo Price, read the pricing methodology; to pull the data yourself, start with the API getting-started guide.
